ON THIS DATE THE HOLE WAS CLEARED JS3905'OF LOOSE ROCKS AND A 1500-POUND MASS OF CONCRETE WAS POURED JS3905'IN THE HOLE AND ANCHORED TO SOLID BEDROCK. A NEW STATION MARK JS3905'WAS SET IN THE SAME POSITION AS THE OLD STATION MARK BY USING JS3905'THE DIRECTIONS TO THE AZIMUTH MARK AND REFERENCE MARKS 1 AND 2 JS3905'AND THE DISTANCES TO REFERENCE MARKS 1 AND 2 MEASURED IN 1940 JS3905'AND 1972. JS3905' JS3905'REFERENCE MARKS 1 AND 2 AND THE AZIMUTH MARK WERE RECOVERED JS3905'IN GOOD CONDITION AND THE PREVIOUS DESCRIPTIONS ARE ADEQUATE JS3905'WITH THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONS-- JS3905' JS3905'THE NEW STATION MARK IS A NGS DISK STAMPED ROUND TOP 1879 JS3905'1973 EPOXIED IN A DRILL HOLE IN THE TOP OF A 3 X 5-FOOT MASS JS3905'OF CONCRETE FLUSH WITH THE SURROUNDING ROCK AND IS ON THE JS3905'HIGHEST POINT OF THE MOUNTAIN. JS3905' JS3905'REFERENCE MARK 2 WAS FOUND STAMPED ROUND TOP NO 2 1925. JS3905' JS3905'THE TWO PIERS WEST OF THE STATION WERE FOUND IN A DETERIORATED JS3905'CONDITION. THE FARTHEST PIER FROM THE STATION IS 2-1/2 FEET JS3905'SQUARE, 3 FEET HIGH AND 5-1/2 FEET WEST OF THE CLOSEST PIER JS3905'TO THE STATION WHICH IS 2-1/2 X 3-FEET AND 2 FEET HIGH.
