The GPS seems to ignore this text when loading route. These waypoints were taken by William Lhotta during a climb of Cho Oyu in 2001. This was after Selective Availability was removed so the position accuracy should be good. Cho Oyu is the sixth highest peak in the world with an elevation of 8201 meters, which is in good agreement with the value of 8193 meters computed by the GPS at the summit. The prominence value of Cho Oyu is 2340 meters (7678 feet). Thanks go to William Lhotta for providing these waypoints. Note:Before loading this into your GPS, check that the unit is set to WGS84 and set the display to UTM/UPS. You can change to Latitude/Longitude display after the download is complete if needed.
