Located in the far north close to the Oregon border and south of the town of Hornbrook.

Drive: On Interstate 5 exit at Henley/Hornbrook and go east on Hornbrook-Ager Road for 3.2 miles and turn right on Ager Road crossing the Klamath River. Just across the river turn right on Klamathon Road and go 1.0 mile west and turn left on Rooster Drive. In about a quarter mile turn right on Dove St. then follow this a short distance and turn left on Robin St. and follow it to its end. You should be at a turnaround at UTM: 539970E, 4635990N, Zone 10, NAD27.

Hike: Much of the hike is on private land, but there are no signs restricting entry.

Many locals from Hornbrook do the peak as noted in the register. Hike south on the east side of a drainage until you reach forested land and a fence corner at the northern junction of sections 2 and 3. Cross the fence and follow old logging tracks upward and somewhat southeasterly. The logging tracks fade out and you should keep heading upward. You may pick up the ducked route higher up around UTM: 540600E, 4634633N. Some areas can be brushy along here. The slope seems to go on forever until you reach the summit, which has the remains of an airway beacon at UTM: 540618E, 4633897N. We found a register under a beacon cover with a surprising number of names in it, but no one familiar. The route is 3.0 miles round-trip with 2000 ft. gain. This was voted our least-favorite peak in northern California so far!
